Now available for sale is this established 97.4-acre Gravel Quarry complete with a pre-approved license, wash plant, scrubber drum, excavator, articulated and other trucks, a #54 excavator crane, water pumps as well as sub-surface mineral rights (the $3/cubic yard government royalty does not apply to gravel mined at this quarry). The quarry has not been heavily mined and retains significant reserves to provide the new owner with many, many years of high monthly income using just the existing equipment (higher income is easily possible if other equipment--such as crushers--are employed).

 

It is situated just 1 mile off the Tumpuna Road (and by road, 2-1/4 miles south of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Arima). It can also be accessed via paved roads off the Cumuto Main Road that lead all the way to the property’s eastern boundary. Other commercial and industrial projects are situated nearby including projects currently being undertaken by Eteck (Tamana Park). The gravel available at this site (and to depths well over 60 feet in several areas) is an accepted standards aggregate with high mineral and low organic composition (typically less than 20% dirt). The gravel is suitable for construction of both residential and commercial building as well as for road paving works. Other gravel quarries currently operate in the immediate area. Electricity is available in the immediate vicinity of the site office with new transformers installed by TTEC just 100 yards away from the existing wash plant. A small section on the eastern end of the property remains virgin forest and may be used for other residential or commercial development due to its proximity to Cumuto and the upcoming Tamana Park project.

 

Close to the wash plant is a small site office that contains a kitchen and washroom facilities on the upper level with space for the storage of small parts and misc items on the lower level. Presently there are stockpiles of approx. 3,000 yards of ballast (gravel for crushing or use in road building) and 250 yards of gravel.
